GOD’S KINGDOM BUILDERS is Book #9 in the Imagination Is My SUPERPOWER series and takes Ezra’s scouting vision to its highest level yet—challenging oldest kids and leaders to move beyond simply completing requirements and begin discovering how their unique gifts and passions can be used to build God’s Kingdom.

More Than Checking a Box

Many programs have ranks to earn, badges to collect, and requirements to complete.

Ezra wants something more.

Of course, God’s Kingdom Builders still includes ranks, merit badges, challenges, skills, and achievements.

But Ezra doesn’t want kids to finish a checklist, receive an award, and move on.

He wants the experience to change them.

To help them develop discipline, determination, leadership, service, character, and purpose.

And eventually ask a much bigger question:

“What has God given me that I can use to make a difference in this crazy world?”

God’s Kingdom Builders Award

The highest achievement in the program is the God’s Kingdom Builders Award.

It isn’t something earned simply by showing up.

It represents meaningful service, personal growth, discipline, determination, and a willingness to put faith into action.

Ezra is inspired by 1 Corinthians 3:9:

“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.” — 1 Corinthians 3:9 KJV

Being a Kingdom Builder means understanding that faith is about more than simply saying we believe.

But, rather to live it.

Serving.

Creating.

Leading.

Building.

Shining our light.

And becoming more like Jesus Christ through what we choose to do with our lives.

Ezra Takes On His Biggest Project Yet

Ezra decides to put the idea into action by helping create a Christian community center.

But dreaming about something and actually building it are very different things.

There is planning to do.

Problems to solve.

People to organize.

Work to complete.

And plenty of moments when giving up would be easier.

Through the project, Ezra discovers that meaningful accomplishments often require patience, teamwork, sacrifice, perseverance, and faith.

Eventually, the community center becomes more than a building.

It becomes proof of what can happen when people bring their talents together for something bigger than themselves.

What Will YOU Build?

Ezra’s goal isn’t for every child to build a community center.

God’s Kingdom Builders encourages kids to discover their own passions and imagine how those interests could bless others.

One child might help maintain a community center.

Another might create Christian books, games, movies, or entertainment.

Someone else might develop more wholesome foods or treats.

Another might become a teacher, builder, artist, entrepreneur, missionary, inventor, mentor, or community leader.

There isn’t only one way to make a difference.

The question becomes:

What are you passionate about—and how could you use it for something greater?

The Award Is Only the Beginning

Receiving the God’s Kingdom Builders Award isn’t meant to be the end of the adventure.

It’s the beginning.

Ezra wants kids to understand that there is no finish line for learning, serving, growing, and developing.

That applies to kids, but also for adults and leaders. 

No matter how old we become, there is always room to learn something new, strengthen our character, serve more intentionally, and continue becoming the person God is calling us to become.

Ezra has learned to DREAM BIG.

He’s learned to STEP INTO HIS IMAGINATION.

He learned to BE A KID, NOT A SCREEN ZOMBIE.

He learned how to BUILD HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.

He learned to FIND CHRISTMAS.

He learned to shine his light in THE GREATEST EASTER PARTY.

He created GOD’S SUPERHEROES.

And he discovered NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES that being a hero should continue into everyday life.
