Welcome to the Punny Puns Graduation Ceremony

Ezra and the other graduates gather together to celebrate how much they’ve grown.

During the ceremony, Ezra looks back on everything Wiener Dog has taught him.

How to dream bigger.

Use his imagination.

Step away from distractions.

Build healthier relationships.

Grow closer to Christ.

Serve others.

Develop leadership.

Discover his purpose.

And begin building something bigger than himself.

Then Wiener Dog gets his opportunity to speak.

There’s only one problem...

One of the kids stands up and says:

“I don’t understand Wiener Dog. He’s just barking.”

Several of the kids suddenly realizes something.

Wiener Dog Could Never Really Talk

Ezra explains:

“Don’t you guys get it? Dogs can’t speak. Wiener Dog can only speak when you use your imagination.”

And suddenly, the entire adventure begins to mean something more.

Wiener Dog has been Ezra’s guide—but imagination helped Ezra hear, explore, question, dream, and discover possibilities he might never have considered otherwise.

For one person, Winer Dog could teach how listening can make one's life more calm. 

For another, it could mean to quit a job. 

Starting something new.

Moving somewhere different.

Serving someone.

Following a passion.

Or having the courage to pursue the purpose God has placed in front of them.

Imagination is the starting point to endless growth. 

Celebrating Growth, Not Perfection

Graduation Day isn’t about saying:

“You finished learning.”

It’s about saying:

“Look how much you’ve grown.”

Ezra realizes that education is much bigger than memorizing information or completing assignments.

Real education also includes learning how to think, create, serve, lead, build relationships, develop character, discover purpose, strengthen faith, and become more capable of making a difference.

Graduation celebrates the progress.

But growth continues for the rest of our lives.

One Final Graduation Speaker

The ceremony has one more surprise.

The final speaker:

Micah Hoxsie—founder and children’s book author of Punny Puns Books & Games.

Micah shares how honored he is to see how much Ezra and the graduates have grown.

He reflects on growing closer to Jesus Christ, looking at education differently, continuing to develop throughout life, and using what we learn to build something worthwhile.

Ezra is thrilled to graduate from Punny Puns.

But he also realizes something important:

He isn’t finished.

There is more to build.

More to learn.

More people to serve.

More ways to grow.

And more work ahead with God’s Kingdom Builders.

Punny Puns Books & Games and God’s Kingdom Builders are separate organizations, but within Ezra’s journey, Punny Puns represents the starting point—the imagination, lessons, stories, and experiences that eventually inspire something bigger.

Ezra began as a kid learning to dream.

Now he is becoming someone ready to build.
